Chapter 1
General Dark Brotherhood Information

Section A - So how do I talk to people? (Communication)

Introduction

Communicating with your fellow Brotherhood members is the most important lesson that you can learn. Since most of us do not know each other outside of the online community, it is crucial that we all know the many different ways to stay in touch. These can include websites for news, emails, online chatting, message boards, and more! This section will briefly describe communication in the Brotherhood. Pay close attention, this stuff is important!

Websites, lifeblood of the Brotherhood

Chances are when you joined; you were searching the web for something related to Star Wars and happened to find our main website (http://www.darkjedibrotherhood.com/). After reading it over and checking us out you decided this looked like something you'd be interested in, and you filled out the join form. Well the main webpage of the Brotherhood is useful for much more than just the join form.

The Brotherhood's webpage contains all sorts of important information. All of the Dark Council's reports, along with other important news, will always be posted there for everyone to read. You can also view the entire roster of the Brotherhood by clicking on the "Roster" link under the Resources section of the site. By logging into the site, you can access all of your administrative options (such as your dossier, character history, character sheet, etc). I'm not going to list all the options from the website in this section; you're better off exploring it on your own. Take some time and click on all the links along the left side or top depending on which layout you are using, some of them are very interesting!

Clan Taldryan also has its own webpage, which just like the main Brotherhood page is very important. It can be found at http://www.taldryan.net/, and it contains everything you'll ever want to know about the Clan. It has information about the Clan's history and position in space, it has links to all of Taldryan's houses and message boards, it lists all of Taldryan's leaders, and it has the Consul's office which contains lots of other important information. Also the Clan weekly reports are put up in the news section of Taldryan's page with all the other important Clan news. If you want to be an informed member of Clan Taldryan, you should often return to this page and read the latest news.

How people know you, ID-lines!

Before I move into any further sections on communication, I want to quickly talk about Identification lines, or ID-lines. You may have already learned about ID-lines in the Shadow Academy, but I want to stress how important they are. Before people get to know you well and recognize your Brotherhood name alone, they will rely on your ID-line to tell them who you are. It should be included in all emails you send, message board posts you make, and competition submissions you send in.

Here is an example of an ID-line:

OE Oldguy (Obelisk)/CON-EP/Clan Taldryan [ACC: JUD]
SB/GCx2/(SC-SoI)/(StA)/DC-KC-O-CS/(BN)/Cr-1D-6R-4A-5S-2E/CF-BlF-RF-GF-PF/(LSP)/DSS/SI/SoL
{SA: DMW}

Ok now let's go through this one line at a time. The first line is the most important of them all. It contains, in order, your rank, name, order, positions, House and Clan, and societies you are in. For the above ID-line, these are the following:

Rank - OE (for Obelisk Exarch)
Name - Oldguy
Order - Obelisk
Positions - CON (Consul) and EP (Eclectic Pedagog)
House/Clan - Clan Taldryan (Consuls are not in a House)
Societies - ACC Judge

The second line of this ID-line contains all the medals Oldguy has earned, in order from the most important to the most common. The third line of the ID-line appears if you have any Shadow Academy Degrees. Now this ID-line is a bit complicated, so let's look at an easier one:

ACO Newguy (Obelisk)/TRP/Dinaari of Taldryan

This member is an Acolyte (rank), he is a member of the Obelisk order, he is a Trooper (that's what TRP stands for), and he is in House Dinaari of Taldryan. Any medals he earns or Shadow Academy courses he passes will be added onto the end of his ID-line.

So remember to include your ID-line in all of your Brotherhood communications so people know who you are!

Where you can chat...IRC!

IRC stands for "Internet Relay Chat", and is the most-used chat system in the Brotherhood. It is made up of a great number of individual chat-rooms, some of which the Brotherhood and its Houses/Clans use to talk in. This program is the primary method that the Brotherhood uses to communicate, and the most active members all use it! In Clan Taldryan, it is required for all leaders to use IRC.

IRC is a program you can download off the internet for FREE!! I STRONGLY recommend that all Taldryan members download and use this program. You can get it at one of the following websites, depending on what system you use:

Windows = http://www.mirc.com/
Unix/Linux = http://www.irchelp.org/irchelp/ircii/index.html
Mac = http://www.irchelp.org/irchelp/mac/index.html

After you download and install the program, you will have a choice of many different IRC networks to join when you connect. The Brotherhood is on the "Undernet" network, so choose that one. Then choose the server that is closest to your location from the server list, fill in your personal information (DB name, email address) and hit connect! After you are connected, you can join channels by going to "Commands" and then, "Join Channel". Then type in the following channels one at a time: #db (the Brotherhood's main channel), and #taldryan (Clan Taldryan's main channel). There will be people in both channels who will be able to help you with any problems you have.

I'm not going to go into any more details on how this program works. It is relatively easy and everyone is able to use it after a little while, so don't stress about it! If you don't understand my directions, or something is confusing you...don't worry its ok. First, House Dinaari has a quick quide to IRC available on their site (http://www.taldryan.net/guides.php?guide=IRC) as well as one on the DB website (http://www.darkjedibrotherhood.com/dbjedi/irc_guide.asp). Secondly, there's a Shadow Academy course written to help you out. To get to that course, first go to the Shadow Academy website (http://www.darkjedibrotherhood.com/dbjedi/shadowacademy/sa/), and then click on "Khar Shian (General Studies)" on the left-hand side. After that click on "Communications", click on "Internet Relay Chat (IRC)" and start reading.

If you don't understand the Shadow Academy course or my instructions, just email your Consul, Proconsul, or Quaestor and they can help you!

Yay, I got mail! ...Mailing Lists

If you have ever used "egroups" or "yahoogroups" then you will be somewhat familiar with what this section is about. These are basically groups of people who have their email address on a list, so when you send an email to a specific address, everyone on the list gets that email. It makes emailing large groups very easy, since you only have to use one email address instead of everyone's individual email addresses.

The Brotherhood used to use "egroups" and then "yahoogroups", then we switched to our own groups which are on the same host as our main website. Since then we moved to Google Groups for less random spam emails. Here are a few of the lists for Clan Taldryan:

Clan Mailing lists
Clan Taldryan (Taldryan@googlegroups.com)
House Dinaari (Dinaari@googlegroups.com)
House Ektrosis (Ektrosis@googlegroups.com)

Now for example, let's say you are in House Dinaari and you want to send an email to everyone in your House asking who has a certain multiplayer game. To do that you would write your email, and then address it to Dinaari@googlegroups.com. Then when you click send it will automatically send your email to everyone in House Dinaari. The same thing would happen if you sent an email to the House Ektrosis list (Ektrosis@googlegroups.com), or the entire Clan (Taldryan@googlegroups.com).

Whenever you join a Clan or a House, you are put onto these lists by the Consul or your House leaders, so you don't have to worry about joining and leaving if you change Houses or Clans. Remember with ALL emails for the DB, include your ID-line so people know who you are!!

Message Boards...where the fun is!

Chances are if you've ever been in an online club of any sort, or if you spend enough time online, you've run into a message board before. Message boards are basically webpage's where you can write messages and post them on a "board or forum" for everyone else to read. Then other people can reply to what you wrote, allowing you to have a conversation with people who might not be online at the same time you are.

The Brotherhood uses the forums quite extensively. There are several main forums, and each Clan and House also has their own. You can find all of them in the same place, http://www.darkjedibrotherhood.com/forum/.

Before you can use the Brotherhood's message boards, you have to register. If you go to the above link and look in the center of the page, you will see a link called, "Register". Click on that link and follow the directions and you will quickly be registered to use the message boards! The first thing you should do is find your Clan and House's message forums and go post messages saying hello to all of your fellow Clan-mates!

Do I have to read these? ...Reports

Most leaders in the Brotherhood write weekly reports. These reports serve two main functions. They show that the leaders are actually doing work, and they give important information to the members who receive it. The most important reports you can read are your Consul's (the head of your Clan), and your Quaestor (the head of your House). These reports will probably be emailed to the Clan and House mailing lists, and posted on the Clan and House websites. The Dark Council members also write reports, and they usually post them on the main Brotherhood website.

Lots of people don't bother to read their leaders reports because they think they are boring. I recommend that you DO read your Consul and Quaestor's weekly reports at least (actually I'd recommend you read all the weekly reports you get, but at least these two!). These reports will contain important information, such as what competitions are going on, how to get promotions and medals, new members who have joined, and what is going on in your Clan/House.

So the bottom line is...read reports!!

What do all these abbreviations mean?!?...Common Brotherhood Abbreviations

If you've read through the message boards, or gotten emails from anyone in the Brotherhood, or basically read anything written by Brotherhood members, you've probably noticed that we use a LOT of abbreviations. We use them in conversation to make things easier for us to type, but they can be very confusing for people who don't know what they mean. There won't be many abbreviations in the Taldryan Codex, because we want you to understand everything. But if you want to understand typical Brotherhood conversations then you'll need to be familiar with common abbreviations.

While you could just constantly ask, "wait, what does that mean?" when you are talking to Brotherhood members, it would be easier if you had a place to look them up. So here is a small list of common abbreviations to help you along.

Section B - Wait, what are House's again? (Organization)

Chances are the first time you looked through the Dark Codex and tried to figure out how the Brotherhood was organized...you got confused. Well there is good news, its not as complicated as it looks! In this section we'll do a quick overview of all the organizational structures in the Brotherhood, and what you need to know about them.

Dark Council

The members of the Dark Council are the bosses of the Brotherhood. There are many members of the Council, but only a few have any direct effect on you. Here is a list of the most important members:

Grand Master - the overall leader of the Brotherhood, who serves until he decides to resign. He is in charge of all other leaders in the Brotherhood. The Grand Master also holds the titles of, "Lord of the Sith", "Lord", and "Darth". Most regular members do not have a lot of contact with the Grand Master, so don't worry about him too much.

Deputy Grand Master - the second in command of the Brotherhood, who generally takes a more active role in the day-to-day operations of the club. He is in charge of all Great Jedi War and Vendetta competitions and act as leader of the Brotherhood if the Grand Master is away.

Master at Arms - is in charge of keeping the roster of the Brotherhood. All transfers, promotions, and roster changes have to be approved by him. He is also in charge of approving all medal recommendations.

Head Master - is in charge of the Shadow Academy and its courses and staff.

Seneschal - oversees the day-to-day functions of the website, all technical problems should be emailed to her.

Justicar - in charge of the Chamber of Justice, the Brotherhood's disciplinary board. Generally the less official contact you have with him, the better.

Consuls - in charge of the many Clans of the Brotherhood.

Each member of the Dark Council is allowed to have several assistants. Their main assistant is known as a Praetor (maximum of one) and their other assistants are known as Magistrates. There are other Council and Summit positions (as you can see on the website), which you will get to know over time.

Orders

When you joined the Brotherhood, you were required to choose which of the three orders you wanted to be a part of. While there are virtually no restrictions due to orders anymore (Krath can multiplay if they want, and Obelisk can write fiction), each order does have a fictional role to play in the Brotherhood, which I will describe below.

Krath - Generally considered the "scholars" of the Brotherhood. The Krath are manipulative and subtle, preferring to subjugate from the shadows.

Obelisk - The Obelisk are ruthless warriors, skilled in the use of all manner of weapons and combat techniques.

Sith - The Sith are cunning tacticians and warlords, bent on conquest and domination.

Of course the actual descriptions of these Orders are much longer and more detailed, and can be found in the Dark Codex. The reason they are mentioned here is because they are another way the Brotherhood is organized into groups, and they also serve as the way single-order Houses are organized.

Clans, Houses, and Battleteams

Clans are the largest units within the Dark Brotherhood. Aside from the Dark Council, Clans make up every active person in the Brotherhood. Clan's are commanded by a Consul (CON), and his second-in-command, the Proconsul (PCON). Consul's are the highest authority in the Clan, and have the last say on all Clan issues. Together the Consul and the Proconsul are called the "Clan Summit". The summit has a lot of responsibility within a Clan, including all of the following and more:

The Clan summit can reward its members quite well, as the Consul and Proconsul have the ability to promote and give medals to his members when they are deserving. Always feel free to email and talk to your Consul and Proconsul, they are around to help you out just as your House leaders are!

Clans are made up of two to three Houses. In the Brotherhood's past, there used to be one House per order in each Clan (one Krath, Obelisk, and Sith House per Clan). With the invention of Multi-order Houses (Houses which have members of more than one order in them), this is not always the case. Houses are commanded by a Quaestor (QUA), and their second-in-command, an Aedile (AED), who are collectively called the "House Summit. The House summit has many responsibilities much like the Clan summit. They can also reward their members with Promotions and Medals (not as high as the Clan summit can, however). There is also a position called Rollmaster (RM) that exists in some houses. This position dates back to before the Brotherhood had an automatic database and rosters were kept by individual leaders. Some Houses still use this position as an assistant to the Quaestor and Aedile, while other Houses don't use it at all. When Rollmaster is used in Clan Taldryan that's the position our House Envoys will fill.

The lowest ring of the Brotherhood's organizational ladder is the Battleteam. Called Brigades by the Obelisk, Phyles by the Krath, and Squadrons by the Sith, each House has up to three battleteams. Each team has a commanding officer, whose title is different depending on the order of the team. Obelisk teams have Sergeants (SGT), Krath teams have Tetrarchs (TET), and Sith teams have Commanders (CMDR). These are the first leadership positions new members can have, and are oftentimes seen as the stepping-stones to Aedile positions. Battleteam leaders can also promote and award their members with medals, but only with a select few, for higher rewards they must ask the Clan or House summits for a recommendation.

Leadership Hierarchy

This section has a lot of information in it, and especially a lot of different leaders. To help you get a better grip on what the "chain-of-command" is, look over the following command hierarchies (listed from lowest to highest):

Battleteam leader -> Aedile -> Quaestor -> Proconsul -> Consul -> Dark Council

If you ever have a problem, concern, question, or anything, you should send it to the first person in the above chain of command. So first to your Battleteam leader, then your House Summit, and finally your Clan summit.

Section C - I'm bored, what's going on? (Competitions)

So now you might be wondering, "ok I know how to talk to people, and who's in charge...what do I do now?" Well the lifeblood of the Brotherhood is competitions. Without these, our club would just be a group of people who signed up and then sat around! There are several levels of competitions, much like there are levels of organizations (battleteam, house, clan, etc). The bigger the competition, the more important it is, and therefore better rewards are given to the winners. All of the competitions that Taldryan members can participate in are listed on the Clan Taldryan website (http://www.taldryan.net/competitions.php) in the "Competitions" section. You should check this section often so that you can be an active member of the Clan!

Besides the Battleteam, House, and Clan competitions, sometime you will find competitions that are open to the entire Dark Brotherhood. To keep up with those you can check our Clan website Competition page or the DB Competition page (http://www.darkjedibrotherhood.com/dbjedi/CompetitionListing.asp). Below are descriptions of all the main types of competitions.

Inter-Clan competitions

(For members of one Clan only, not open to the entire Brotherhood)

Battleteam Competitions

Battleteams are the smallest units in the Brotherhood. Members of a battleteam are usually all from the same order, so any competitions they hold will usually be directed towards that order. These competitions are usually led by the Battleteam's leader, either a Sergeant, Tetrarch, or Commander. Most of these competitions will be simple and aimed at testing the skills or activity within the team. Occasionally there will be Battleteam vs. Battleteam competitions as well, which can be against teams in the same House or in different Houses.

Some examples of Battleteam competitions would be for everyone to complete a custom JO mission, take part in a caption competition, or write a short story. The rewards will typically be given by the Battleteam leader, and are usually low-level Crescents, but occasionally a Dark Cross can be given for extraordinary effort. These competitions are usually announced to the Battleteam via email, and can also be found on the Taldryan website (in the "competitions" section).

House Competitions

These competitions tend to be the most numerous. In a House competition the entire House engages in whatever activity the comp mandates. These are usually run by the Quaestor or the Aedile of the House, and are a bit more involved than Battleteam competitions. The rewards for a House competition are usually mid-level crescents, again with exceptions made for extra effort.

Examples of House competitions could be a message board run-on, or a multiplayer ladder. These competitions are usually announced to the House via email, posted on the Taldryan website, and also put in the "competitions" section of the Taldryan website (which you should check often!).

Clan Competitions

Regular competition will be ran at times by the Clan summit, these would be a monthly fiction writing event, a special gaming event, or a submission competition for the Clan Newsletter for example. Beyond that are more large-scale Clan competitions that are considerably more important.

These competitions are the largest run within a single unit (i.e. not open to the entire Brotherhood). Generally there are only a handful of these run every year, as they require lots of preparation and work. They usually have a plotline and website, along with multiple events for the Clans members to participate in. Clan Competitions are usually run by the Consul and Proconsul, and can last up to three weeks. They are typically very important and the Clan summit expects all the active members of the Clan to participate in them.

Examples of Clan Competitions in Taldryan's past have been, "Project: Restored Glory" and "Operation: Continued Dominance". Both lasted for three weeks and have over fifteen different events directed towards all three different orders. Mid-to-high level crescents are typically given out for winning events, although medals all the way up to Steel Crosses can be given out as well. Clan competitions are announced via email, put on the Taldryan site in the "News" and "Competitions" sections, and put on the message board.

Vendetta Events

(Open to members of more than one Clan)

Clan Feuds

These competitions are typically held between two Clans who 'war' on each other in an attempt to win either new possessions from the other Clan, or favor from the Grand Master. There are anywhere from one to three of these held per year, and they are run by the Consuls and Proconsuls of the two warring Clans. Much like Clan competitions, these usually have a plotline and multiple events to participate in. However in these competitions you compete against members of another Clan, and work as a team with your Clan-mates. High-level crescents and other rewards are given to individuals who win events in these competitions, and the winning Clan typically receives its own prize as well. The last Clan Feud we held was the Selen Incident, an all around great happening for us.

Rites of Supremacy

These competitions has been held with several themes before. There use to be Order rites such as the "Obelisk Rite of Supremacy", but now they usually follow Clan rites in which all the Clans war on each other for the titles of First, Second, and Third Clan of the Brotherhood. These are major competitions which are typically run by Grand Master and Deputy Grand Master with possible other appointed officials. High-level crescents and Nova's are given out to winners of individual events, and the Clan Consuls can award their members more for excellent participation. These are typically held once a year. The last Rite of Supremacy we participated in was the Second Darkness, where we held off a rising threat and gained a new star system.

Great Jedi Wars

The most important of all competitions held in the Brotherhood, the Great Jedi War pits all the Clans against each other in all-out war. These competitions generally have very elaborate plotlines and many events in several stages. They can last for more than a month before the final scores are released, and the Clans take these very seriously as they all want to win! These are the only competitions in which Gold, Silver, and Bronze Nova's are awarded to members for placing in events, and therefore the competition is fierce. The Consul's of the Clans also hand out many other rewards (both medals and promotions) for participating in Great Jedi Wars. The winning Clans receive an award decided upon by the Grand Master and the rest of the Dark Council. The last Great Jedi War we participated in was the Eighth Great Jedi War, here we came out with on top in a big way ready for a Brotherhood-wide Fleet Modernization.

Participating in competitions is the key to being an active Brotherhood member. You can talk on IRC all you want, or complete as many Shadow Academy courses as humanly possible, but if you don't participate in competitions, then your leaders won't be very happy! So remember to check the Clan Taldryan website and the "Competitions" section for an up-to-date list of all the competitions you can participate in!

Section D - So a Priest is better than a Warrior? (Ranks)

There are two rewards given to Brotherhood members; medals and promotions. While medals are given out for small events such as winning a competition, or helping a leader create a website, promotions above the rank of Acolyte are given out for activity over a long period of time. Active members of the highest ranks can wait more than a year before they receive a promotion! Therefore they are cherished by Brotherhood members.

There are three groups of Brotherhood ranks, the Journeymen, the Equites, and the Elders. The Journeymen ranks start with Apprentice (the first rank you receive), and go all the way to Dark Jedi Knight (the rank at which you can carry your own lightsaber). The Equites are the members in the four ranks above Dark Jedi Knight for each order. Finally the Elders are the top three ranks for each order, right up to Grand Master. To see a full chart of all the Brotherhood ranks for the three orders, go to the Dark Codex and read the "Ranks" Chapter.

Only leaders may promote regular members to a new rank, however anyone can recommend that a member be promoted (by emailing their leaders and telling them why this member deserves a promotion). The higher the leader is, the higher rank he can promote to without getting approval from his superiors. Here is a list of who may give promotions:

Position
May elevate to...
Grand Master
Any rank
Deputy Grand Master
Dark Side Adept
Other Dark Council members
Two ranks below current rank
Consul
Battlemaster / Prelate / Archpriest
Proconsul
Warrior / Templar / Priest
Quaestor
Dark Jedi Knight
Aedile
Jedi Hunter
Battleteam Leader
Acolyte
Any position
(may recommend)

Something that is important to know, but that you won't find anywhere else is a little bit of advice here. While everyone in the Brotherhood wants to be promoted, begging and pleading with your leaders to promote you isn't something that will work. Most of the time it merely makes the leaders want to promote you less often. The best way to get promoted regularly is to stay consistently active in both communication and competitions. Good leaders keep track of their members activity levels and will promote you accordingly. The important thing is just to have fun, and then getting a promotion will come naturally!

Section E - Oooh, shiny (Medals)

As you have read above, participating in competitions and being an active contributor to your House and Clan can earn you many rewards. The most typical reward for short-term activity are medals. Medals are awarded by leaders and approved by the Chancellor before they are given out. Once received, medals are shown with the reason for why they were given on the receiving member's dossier. Medals are broken into three groups, General Awards, Competition Rewards, and Other Rewards. A complete list of medals with descriptions can be found in the Dark Codex, in the "Awards" Chapter. Below I will include brief descriptions of the most common medals.

General Awards

Dark Cross (DC) -
These are the basic merit medals of the Brotherhood. They are given for good House or Battleteam activity, completing small tasks, or for participation in some competitions. They can be awarded by any Dark Council member, Consul, Proconsul, Quaestor, Aedile, or Battleteam leader.

Anteian Cross (AC) -
These are one step up from a Dark Cross, and are given for consistent and dedicated activity to a House or Battleteam, usually over a period of several weeks. They can be awarded by any Dark Council member, Consul, Proconsul, Quaestor, or Aedile.

Steel Cross (SC) -
A step up from the Anteian Cross, these medals are awarded far less often. They are given for extended service to a House or Clan, or for aiding Dark Council members. They can be awarded by any Dark Council member, Consul, Proconsul, Quaestor, or Aedile.

Grand Cross (GC) -
These are a step up from the Steel Cross, and are the hardest crosses to earn. Many members go through their entire time in the Brotherhood without earning a Grand Cross. They are given for service to one's Clan that help to encourage competition and interaction between members. They can be awarded by any Dark Council member, Consul, or Proconsul.

Sapphire Blade, Amethyst Kukri, Ruby Scepter, Emerald Dagger, Diamond Sword, Silver Sash -
These are all high-level awards given out only for service to the Brotherhood has a whole. Typically they are given to Dark Council members, or other high-level members that do some service that furthers the entire Brotherhood.

Golden Lightsaber (GLS) -
The lightsaber with a gold pommel and blade is given only to Grand Master's after they have shown exceptional ability in their positions and have become pillars of the Brotherhood.

Competition Awards

Cluster of Fire (CF) -
These medals are given out for Multiplayer victories and participation. Generally you receive one Cluster of Fire per multiplayer victory or three losses in sanctioned Brotherhood events. There are fifteen levels of this medal that change as you earn more, all the way up to 4000 separate victories. These can be awarded by the Grand Master, Deputy Grand Master, or appointed official.

Pendant of Blood (PoB) -
It is award to the winner of a Dark Brotherhood Gaming Night. The winner is determined by the the number of wins and losses a person has throughout the day. If a tie occurs the member who played more matches will receive the Pendant of Blood. This medal can only be awarded by the Grand Master, Deputy Grand Master, and an appointed offical.

Crescents (Cr) -
These medals are the competition medals of the Brotherhood. They are given for placing 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in competitions at every level. There are five levels of crescent awards, depending on what kind of competition it is (a complete description of the levels can be found in the Dark Side Compendium, in the Awards Chapter). The different kinds of crescents include (in descending order) Diamond, Ruby, Amethyst, Sapphire, Emerald, Topaz, and Quartz Stars. They can be awarded by any leader depending on the level of competition.

Gold (GN), Silver (SN), and Bronze (BN) Novas -
These are given out for achieving 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place in any Vendetta event, especially Great Jedi Wars. They can only be awarded by the Grand Master, Deputy Grand Master, or the Master-at-Arms.

Other Awards

Legion of the Scholar (LS) -
These are given for either winning or creating the Star Wars trivia given after the Brotherhood's weekly meetings. They are awarded by the Moderator of the Trivia.

Dark Side Scroll (DSS) -
These medals are awarded for making a submission to the Brotherhood's newsletter, the "Dark Voice". They are awarded by Grand Master or other appointed official.

Scroll of Indoctrination (SI) -
These medals are given for recruiting a new member into the Brotherhood or for mentoring and helping current members. They are awarded by the Grand Master, Headmaster, or other appointed official.

Section F - Ok I've finished this...now what? (Links)

Now that you've finished the first section of the Codex you should be familiar with all the typical activities of the Brotherhood. If you wish to continue your training and learn about the incredible history of Clan Taldryan (and I hope you do!) you should continue on in the Codex, reading each chapter carefully.

Below have I have included a list of links to other websites that are important for every Brotherhood member, bookmarking them isn't a bad idea.
